To get there from Hobby Airport take one of the bus routes, 40 or 50 to downtown Houston and transfer to a different route. The journey from the airport to the Amtrak Station will take up to 1.5 hours including a few minutes of walking to and from bus stops.
It is also possible to walk from the city center to the Amtrak Station in around 15-20 minutes as the distance is only 0.6 mi/1 km

The train station also serves other train departures and arrivals with close to 79 each on a daily basis.
