William P. Hobby Airport is committed to providing an outstanding experience for all travelers, including those with disabilities. Rental Cars – All rental car companies at Houston Hobby Airport are located in locations around the airport and it is necessary to transfer to the different companies’ locations. A courtesy shuttle is provided so customers can easily move between the terminal and the car rental company’s office.

Public Bus Transportation – The local transit provider, METRO, has several bus routes that serve Houston Hobby Airport and downtown Houston with regular departures from early morning to around midnight each day. A variety of bus services are also offered by other companies. These shuttles or coaches go to locations around the Houston area, including Galveston.

The bus stop is on the lower level of the airport, outside the Baggage Claim area, in the Ground Transportation Zone. There are signs to mark the exact location.

Taxis – The taxi rank is located in the Ground Transportation zone outside the Baggage Claim area on the lower level of the airport. The taxis and taxi drivers that serve the airport have permits and training to provide safe transfer with good service. Shuttles and RideShares – Different shuttles, such as hotel shuttles or rental car shuttles, collect their guests/customers in the Ground Transportation Zone on the lower level, located outside the Baggage Claim area. These are also courtesy phones in the Baggage Claim area for travelers to request a hotel shuttle. These transfers are always arranged by the traveler via the hotel or the RideShare company’s app or website.

Trains, Amtrak and Greyhound – The airport doesn’t have a train, Amtrak or Greyhound station on the grounds, but they do in central Houston. Quickest way to transfer to either is by taxi, but it is also possible through public transportation although a transfer in central Houston is necessary. It is also possible to walk from the center to either. To walk to the Amtrak/train station takes around 15 minutes, depending on where in the center you get off the bus, and to the Greyhound station will take around 30 minutes.
